i got this idea from a good friend, Hawa Aziah Azman. it was my 1st time to be introduced to this Rhubarb plant. it looks abit like cellery to me..large leaves n poisonous.Red stem/stalks depends on cultivars but in cameron they are in red to maroon colour. the stalk smells good. a bit sweet. no wonder rhubarb pie is addictive n tempting lo.. hee...googled n found-they have small flowers n white inflorenscenes.Rhubarb tolarates most soil but grow best on fertile, well-drained soils that r high in organic matter. it is also said to be sensitive with high surrounding temperature- affect growth quality. (source: www.rhubarbinfo.com)since u know their leaves r poisonous, pest attack is not a problem therefore thay have less P&D maintainance.i was thinking of converting this benefit to a ornamental repellent products. surely u cant spray this rhubarb leaves organic pesticide to food crops. but this is a good new for landscape purposes kan. yeah! jom... lets do some experiment on rhubarb yeay! CUT DOWN CHEMICAL PESTICIDES APPLICATIONS!!!
